Welcome  

The Plastics Pioneers Association is an organization of individuals who are persons of accomplishment in the Plastics Industry, and who wish to foster the bonds of friendship and fraternalism among themselves.

The objectives of the organization are:

  • To recognize achievements in the fields of plastics and/or polymer science, engineering, technology, education, sales/marketing, or management
  • To support industry-wide educational programs
  • To promote the study and improvement of plastics and/or polymer science, engineering, and technology in the Plastics Industry

These objectives are achieved by:

  • Conducting at least one meeting annually to enable members to decide on which programs should be initiated and/or supported, and what achievements should be recognized
  • Contributing funds from its treasury to educational programs deemed worthy of support by its members
  • Administering a scholarship program for deserving students enrolled in programs leading to careers in plastics and/or polymer science, engineering, technology, education, sales/marketing, or management in the Plastics Industry

PPA Distinguished Service Award

Al SpaakThe Plastics Pioneers Association proudly presented its first ever Distinguished Service Award to AI Spaak. The Association created the Award to honor members such as Al for lifetime achievements. AI has been a PPA Distinguished Service Awardmember of the Pioneers for many years and was very active serving as Secretary, Vice President and President of the group. Al is a member of the Plastics Hall of Fame and also was executive director of the Plastics Institute of America.
