About the PPA

Building on our past to advance the future success of the plastics industry, the Plastics Pioneers Association is an organization of individuals who are persons of accomplishment in the industry. We support scholarships, educational programs, a history center, and more to engage the next generation of people in the world of plastics.

At least annually, the members meet to reach decisions on which programs are to be initiated and/or what achievements are to be recognized.

In 2023 we celebrated our 75th anniversary, and we look forward to continuing to serve the Plastics industry for many years to come!

What We Do – We Give Back

• We give educational grants and scholarships that help students pursuing careers in the various fields of plastics and materials science
• Through monetary donations, we help to maintain  the Plastics Collection Library at Syracuse University.
• We contribute to educational support programs such as the Plastivan which caters to school age children
